Galway before the Rush
With Galway being elected as the European Capital of Culture for 2020, don't miss your chance to explore the Aran Islands, climb over the Burren, and dine in castles before the mad rush!
Stop into a bar, as you do the Wild Atlantic Way, or head north to Croagh Patrick, Ireland's highest point to enjoy the views of the surrounding landscape.
Skip over to Connemara and immerse yourself in the true breadth of the Irish. Travelling through this protected area will allow you to see the road signs change to Gaelic and if you listen closely you might even hear the locals speaking Gaeilge.
Within the idyllic landscape you can find the Kylemore Abbey, with its moving past it has stood the test of time as a tribute of love. Laying below is the Diamond Hill, which in itself is another beautiful area with multiple paths with varying levels of difficulty provide fun for the whole family. Between the sights and the festivals Galway is a place to not be missed, often overshadowed by Dublin and with only a tenth of the population, it holds itself easily against other excellent sights in Ireland.
