Bern fairytale city
Bern is a fairytale city. A charming city that harmoniously preserves its medieval center, which is why it is a UNESCO heritage site and easy to walk around. A walk along Kramgasse street, which crosses the city like its backbone, is a must. From the glass roof of the train terminal, passing through the arch of the Prison Tower, to reaching the famous Clock with its carillon, to the bridge that reaches the Bear House, where bears live in semi-free along the riverbank and which is the symbol of the city. The promenade is centrally located with a sewage system with the noise of the river flow and with numerous very beautiful medieval fountains and the houses with arcades on both sides. Crossing this street, there are important intersections; at the height of the Prison Tower coming from the station on the right is the Parliament, which usually has a market, and on the left is the large theatre with the colorful facade. Another important intersection, past the Clock, in the middle of the main street, leads to the right to the Gothic cathedral with its beautiful polychrome portico and on the other side the town hall with a medieval portico. If you do not stay in the center, all hotels give you a transportation card that includes bus, tram, elevator, and funicular. I recommend a route descending by the elevator located in the park behind the cathedral for a walk along the riverbank and ascending by the funicular that takes you from the Mazili neighborhood to the gardens behind.

Visit to the city center
The place is beautiful. We stayed right in the center and it was a marvel everywhere you looked. We didn't enter a museum, so we took the opportunity to explore the streets again and again and enjoy them. There are many shops, lots of transport, and people are very nice. We fell in love with the shops that are underground, the space cannot be more utilized. Switzerland is expensive, it's not the city, it's the country. But to eat, there's Manora, the take away from Coop, and Migros too.
