This hotel is located in the centre of the region of Cacerena de la Vera, in the centre of the village of Jarandilla and surrounded by countryside. Tourist sights close to the village include Garganta la Olla, Valverde de la Vera and Villanueva de la Vera, and it is well worth visiting Plasencia, Cáceres and Trujillo.This historical hotel is housed in a castle palace belonging, in its day, to the Counts of Oropesa and the Lords of Jarandilla. There we take the exit n º 178 and connect with the road EX-119 up to coming to Jarandilla de la Vera.

They gave us a room on the ground floor. To access the room, we had to pass through the first floor which was being renovated, everything was very dirty and noisy. The room was fine, but the bathroom had broken tiles and the towel bar was held up with duct tape. We requested a bathroom item at the reception, but they didn't bring it. A little disappointing this Parador.

Incredible experience at the Parador de Jarandilla de la Vera! We want to enormously thank the staff for their warm treatment and professionalism in every area. From reception to services, everyone showed exceptional kindness, which made our stay even more special. Definitely a place to return to and recommend! Reserving. Com seems to be a fraudulent organisation. Because of their booking system with unclear messages that instill doubt, i booked my stay twice without seeing the double booking on my booking profile. Because of corona travel limitations in spain, i had to cancel my booking. I did that in time. But the second (hidden) booking was still open. 12 hours after the official cancellation time, but two days before my hotel booking day, i noticed the error that had been made and wrote to reserving. Com directly. They never answered. The same week i send two more complaints. Never i received an answer. So finally i paid for a night and a diner in a hotel where i never slept or ate. And then reserving. Com asks me how my stay was, which i will answer here for all of you to know, and to be warned: reserving. Com didn’t return my 195, 81 euro, even after several timely alarm bells and complaints, while i never saw the hotel i booked. Up to today (6 weeks after the day of the reservation) the hotel which had reserved my room is not paid either for the reservation made. I call that fraudulent. Wouter verhoeven +31640979733.

La decoración de las habitaciones y los muebles necesitan una actualización urgente, no son habitaciones, ni pasillos acogedores y las puertas de las habitaciones, piden a gritos un cambio. Los cuartos de baños si están actualizados. El castillo es precioso.

Lo mejor: el castillo en sí mismo y las zonas comunes: patio, jardines, salones, piscina... Buena atención de todo el personal, así como la calidad de la comida en el restaurante y la cafetería. Habitación y baño amplios. Ubicado en el centro del pueblo y con variedad de cafeterías y supermercados cerca.
Lo peor: la habitación necesita una remodelación profunda. Y no es cuestión de la ambientación: la insonorización es nula (se escucha cualquier mínimo ruido que haya en el pasillo), el mobiliario necesita una actualización, mala cobertura de la wifi... Por el precio que pagas, esperas que estos detalles estén muchísimo más cuidados. Igualmente, se agradecería algún tipo de cubierta en el parking.

Lo mejor: unas instalaciones de ensueño, precioso, buena cocina, los espacios comunes muy cuidados y bien ambientados. Las habitaciones bien limpias, un poco antiguas (supongo que es así en estos sitios) los baños grandes y bien equipados. Un sitio para repetir.
