This is not the first time we have come to the hotel. Very good service, nice staff and most importantly a wonderful location. Not far from the airport, many delightful sites are not far away.
The hotel is located by the sea. The conditions in the hotel were not 4 stars. (The door of the room was defective, hand soap was washed out twice in 5 days, the noise of the air conditioning was disturbing)
The town is beautiful but only one problematic beach. The water is too deep for young kids. My kids couldn't go into the water because it was too deep.
I have been going to Estartit for about 30 years, it's a lovely wee town, the beach is amazing, a nice harbour. Just one street of shops but it's got everything you need
Girona is Catalonia without crowds of selfie tourists like you.
From Pineda, you can get to Girona by train in 1.5 hours. The city is relatively small, and 1 day is enough for it. In the historical center, it is worth seeing the cathedral, where Game of Thrones was filmed, as well as the defensive fortress, which you can walk along. The wall resembles the Great Wall of China.

David,

Roses is a really nice, family-orientated resort, but even as a retired couple we go there often.
Uku,
Lloret de Mar (Girona)
Party holiday town with a 90s vibe
Has its charms but we more liked the neighboring Tossa de Mar
