Alex,
Playa de las Americas (Isla de Tenerife)
It's a wonderful destination where you have a lot of activities for a holiday
Playa de las America is a wonderful destination. First of all, the weather is wonderful compared to North Tenerife where there is also rain from time to time, and it can spoil at least one day of your holiday. You have all the beaches in the south close by. One week was not enough for me to visit and enjoy everything there. You have Siam Park, Aqualand very close, many clubs and restaurants. You have many activities such as Karting, water sports, boat cruises, even helicopter rides. Regarding the prices, I live in London, and they seemed quite low in most cases. People are very welcoming. Tenerife remains the best destination, it is not for nothing that it is praised by so many people!

The Hart of the entertainment. Close to the beach, close to the siam Park, close to the airport etc.
Great restaurants in siam mall.

Playa de las Americas (Isla de Tenerife)
Great area. Lots of restaurants within easy reach. Lovely beach front walks.Palm Beach hotel was well positioned but continual noise into the night with no apparent security control will mean we would look elsewhere unless you want an early morning call at 12,3 and 5 am! It was not traffic noise but returning late night guests

In the footsteps of the old guanches
If you only come to Tenerife for a week, you will definitely come back and stay longer. In Tenerife you come to explore. Although it is an island that takes you, of course, with the thought of extended sunbathing sessions, the mountain is the great secret and the great attraction, at the same time, of the island. If you are lucky, and you have good weather, climb on the cable car on this symbol of the Canaries and don't forget to take with you the special permit for access to the top. Wander around the lava sea of the national park, admiring the devilish shapes of the rock escaped from the hot springs of the volcano and the sometimes-bright colors of the lava and volcanic ash. Take care of the flora and fauna: and without your presence here, their life is not terribly easy!!! Go, confidently, to Anaga Rural Park. You become, practically, one by car, crossing the multiple serpentines from Taganana and then, a little tired, you can rest on the black sand like the tar of the volcanic beaches in the north. I still remember the cafes in Roque de las Bodegas and the well-deserved rest on Playa de Almáciga... And, I smile... If you choose the “guanches style” for exploration, remember: the routes are wonderful and very well maintained, but never make fun of the mountain... Not often, he laughs at you too!!! Choose a shorter route, half a day, to be able, on your return, to relax on the hot sand of a beach, or on the ocean shore, at one of the many natural pools. Have a nice day
