Gran Canaria
Gran Canaria is a destination rich in history and culture. Various stories surround its past, many of them based on myth and legend. Some imagined it to be the lost city of Atlantis, while others linked it to the magical Fortunate Islands. Gran Canaria is an amazing place to visit, with so much to do. Spend a day deep sea diving with PR Diving, or enjoy an adventurous expedition in the breathtaking mountains of Roque Nublo. The beaches in Gran Canaria are stunning and you'll appreciate relaxation time at Playas de los Amadores beach or in Puerto de Mogan. The Templo Ecumenico de San Salvador is a church and religious site in Playa del Inglés, welcoming Christians from all denominations. Gran Canaria's earliest inhabitants were the Guanches. These people are said to have been Berbers, originating from North Africa and were cave dwellers. The Barranco de Guayadeque is the historical site of the Guanches caves. This ancient settlement is a must see. The two museums located here shouldn't be missed.

Quiet place to relax
Bahia Feliz in much quieter than Maspalomas, and you can enjoy the nature there. The connection to Maspalomas is good, with a lot of buses costing 1.45 euro (or 2 euro - you must be careful to pronounce the correct destination stop).

Der Strand ist sehr schön, im Winter allerdings sehr windig. Sonnen und Baden kann man sich eigentlich nur am Hotelpool.

Beautiful place
Amadores is the best beach on Gran Canaria. I love the white sand. It is very peaceful and no naturists walking around. A lot of nice small restaurants.

Winter break.
Gran Canaria is a great location for a winter break.The area of Meloneros is lovely, very clean and has fantastic facilities inclusive of numerous restaurants that cater for all cuisines.
