What to see or do in and around Tarifa

  • I really liked Tarifa

I really liked Tarifa and its beaches.

  • A village with a lot of charm.

A village with a lot of charm. To end our summer vacation in Cádiz, we decided to stay in Tarifa for 3 nights at the Tarifa Lances hotel. The truth is that we loved the village with its cobbled streets, its historical monuments, and its white houses. In the evenings, taking a walk through the interior of Tarifa is one of the best options for the vacation, as it is full of places to dine and stalls to buy souvenirs, it seems taken from a storybook. During the day, there is the option to book free tours that explain the history of Tarifa or engage in water activities. We highly recommend dining at ATXA, I think it's one of the best restaurants I've tried in a long time: especially the dishes made with tuna and the red prawn carpaccio, spectacular! As for beaches, we were very lucky with the weather and were able to visit Los Lances Sur beach, which is very spacious, beautiful, and quiet, and also has beach bars to eat or have a drink. A few kilometers away by car you will find the dunes of Bolonia and the beach of Valdevaqueros: essentials during your visit. These are two places that will not leave you indifferent. Personally, I was more impressed by Valdevaqueros with its staging of kitesurfing and windsurfing athletes who decorate the beach with the colors of their sails. Also, it is a very comfortable beach to get into the water (there are no stones like in others) and it has several beach bars like Tumbao that are worth visiting. Tarifa will not leave you indifferent!

  • Great destination

Great destination. Tarifa is a town with lots of charm and lively, its old town is a must-visit. Special mention to the area's gastronomy, I had lunch and dinner out during the 3 days of stay and in all the restaurants and beach bars, the quality was very good, fresh fish and seafood, some more expensive than others but the food was very good, places like Carnoneros 13, Ell Picoteo, El Cocedeto, El Biento, all very good but some as I said more expensive than others. The beaches of Tarifa are spectacular for their water and sand and within a short radius you find several like Lances, Valdevaqueros, Bolonia, each with its charm.

  • Ideal getaway in Tarifa

Tarifa is always good. Sunset at the spa, lunch at the chiringuito, cocktails and drinks at Taco Way. Any beach.

  • Exploration and gastronomy in Tarifa

We visited every street and corner of Tarifa. We strolled through the city center and went shopping. Places where we've eaten and really liked for their value for money were the restaurant El Ancla, Bar El Lola, Silos.

  • Wonderful city

Wonderful city. A city full of places to eat and drink with a good atmosphere. The old town is a great place to visit, have a few cold beers and enjoy some good tapas. It also has nice beaches. I recommend it 100 x 100.

  • Tarifa and its unique atmosphere

Tarifa, its beaches, its beach bars (Waikiki, Balneario, Carbones 13...) A unique atmosphere all year round. The old town is beautiful and its gastronomy is one of the best.

  • Tarifa is fabulous

Tarifa is fabulous and beautiful. A must-visit for anyone passing through the province of Cádiz. We recommend having breakfast at Café Azul.

  • Tarifa Perfect

Tarifa Perfect. As it is already known, a lot of wind, but you know where you are going. We were very comfortable with a temperature of about 27º on average, while the rest of Spain was going through a heatwave. Huge beaches where you don't have a stranger sitting next to you. Gastronomically perfect regarding fish and red tuna.
