It is worth walking around the island. Cozy walks in the streets of Funchal, the beautiful botanical garden, Monte are an unmissable sight. The view from Pico Ruivo, the lighthouse in Ponta da Pargo is an unforgettable memory. I hope we come back again!

We recommend doing the cable car, the views are spectacular but you need to get there early as the queues build up quickly and it is not pleasant queuing when it is hot. We would also recommend doing an on/off jeep trip, we did a trip of the west of the island which was fun and got to see a lot of what the island has to offer. Restaurants around the Carlton Madeira Hotel are a bit expensive, we found the restaurants in the center of Funchal to be better value. We were there when there was a street entertainer festival which was great to see and also to see so many people out enjoying themselves.

De beaux villages à visiter. Funchal entre autres. Les piscines naturelles de Porto Moniz sont magnifiques. Le village de Jardim del Mar est spendide. Faire le jardin tropical de Funchal il vaut le détour. De très belle randonnées à faire, avec des paysages somptueux, randonnées de la pointe St Laurent et les 25 cascades sont mes deux coups de coeur. Vous trouverez partout sur votre chemin de belle fleurs.
