Modern and cosmopolitan city
Modern and cosmopolitan city, quite different from cities like Amsterdam, The Hague, and Utrecht. A 75-minute cruise is worthwhile as it gives an idea of the city's history.

Visit to Rotterdam
We visited the iconic places of Rotterdam, the Market Hall is magnificent and offers an incredible diversity of products. The Erasmus Bridge is magnificent and impressive when you cross it, the White House, the cubic houses. The authentic side of the city is found in the Delfshaven district, a green area with pre-war constructions!

Convenient and good if you're into modern architecture
Convenient and good if you're into modern architecture. Rotterdam is pretty convenient for other nice places in the Netherlands. If you're into modern architecture and quirky places, there's also plenty to see. It's definitely not the prettiest, but a good escape for a few days.

Interesting city but expensive
Interesting city, well connected, easy to get around, somewhat expensive. But it takes time to get to know it.

City Rotterdam
City Rotterdam. The city of Rotterdam has a great history, it's modern mixed with old. You have the Euromast, and the Markthal, you have de Lijnbaan and you have the Koopgoot. Lot of fun activities, like the splash tour, the watertaxi, or a boat-tour. Shopping or activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy! A beautiful and compact city where you can walk, take the tram, rent a bicycle, take the metro or take a boat. It is very easy to get around!

We have visited the Dutch photography museum, Depot Boijmans van Beuningen, Kunsthallen, and Foodhall. We visited the Foodhallen next to the hotel for lunch and dinner. We liked the concept of a great variety of international food: Italian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Caribbean, Burgers, Mexican, too many to mention. The food, atmosphere, and pricing were OK. The Depot was very impressive from the outside and inside. We recommend booking a free tour to get an optimal experience, because of the interesting background information and the access to the forbidden parts of the storage building. The Kunsthallen and Dutch Museum of Photography are nice places to walk through and let the visuals surprise you.
