Hotel Castille information
Constructed as a palace in the 16th century, the building was transformed a few years ago into this small, tasteful, and fully air-conditioned hotel. On offer are a total of 38 rooms spread over five floors. Facilities include an attractive lobby area with a reception desk open around the clock and lift access. There is also a delightful coffee shop which formerly housed the stables. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Hotel. Dining options include a café, two bars, and two restaurants. One cannot exclude mentioning the luxurious roof top restaurant, with its breathtaking views one can enjoy whilst eating inside or al fresco. De Robertis serves a delicious A-La-Carte menu including French Cuisine, local and Mediterranean dishes. In addition, guests may take advantage of the cozy wine cellar and the reading room.

This historic hotel is located in the city centre of Valletta, in the immediate vicinity of the Grand Harbour and the Barraca Gardens. From here, it is just a few minutes? walk to the government palace, St Julian?s Cathedral, and the historic sights of Valletta. Links to the public transport network may easily be reached on foot By bus: bus-stop just outside of arrivals lounge, bus goes directly to Valletta in approximately 30mins. Walk through Citygate, turn right, walk for approx. 1 min. Hotel is situated next to Auberge de Castille, the Prime Minister's office. By self-drive car: follow road signs to Valletta. Hotel is on the right-hand side, next to Auberge de Castille, at the top of the road that leads to the main entrance (by)car to the city.

The rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with a shower, a direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, and air conditioning/central heating and hairdryer. Most rooms had parquet flooring installed recently.

The hotel is in an amazing position, very central. Beautiful building, but could do with an up haul. My room really wasn't great, needs updating on decor. Mainly down to the toilet being old, it wouldn't flush. The cleaners need to pay attention, dust, dirt and hairbands behind the bed! having said that, you get what you pay for and it was cheap! the breakfast was good, staff lovely.

Posizione strategica per visitare valletta, edificio storico di pregio, camera pulita e confortevole, bagno essenziale che meriterebbe un ammodernamento, ottima colazione all'ultimo piano con una impagabile visuale sulla città. Tuvimos una gran sorpresa ya que por 100€ pensábamos que la calidad del hotel en malta sería muy buena. Para sorpresa nuestra, tuvimos que pedir cambio de habitación por el pésimo mantenimiento de las habitaciones (400 y 409). Techo desconchado, moqueta muy envejecida, muebles mal conservados, rejilla del aire acondicionado abierta sobre la cama, polvo por todos los sitios. La segunda sorpresa fue cuando el recepcionista nos dijo que es la habitación que nos correspondía por haber hecho la reserva con central de reservas, situación que pudimos solucionar al día siguiente con otra persona amable de la recepción. Resumiendo, por el precio deberían mantener el hotel en mejor estado y no dejar que se caiga. Desayuno elemental para este precio (no quisieron darnos pan de molde una vez acabado el del bufet).
