We first engaged with the british hotel nearly 30 years ago, when the first of our grand-daughters were born in malta. This hotel was faultless as a family-run entity. The location and views were absolutely stunning, as was the popularity of the restaurant. Needless to say, we returned year after year and loved every minute of our stays. The passage of time demanded changes to the hotel, no longer providing the restaurant facilities of old, coupled with extensive changes to the hotel itself. The project manager was a more than capable member of the montebello family, christopher montebello, who supervised the total refurbishment. Sadly, this hotel we loved, and those who made it a delight to return to, have retired and no longer know the hotel they loved. Times have moved on, and the british hotel, despite relinquishing control of the restaurant, still retains those absolutely stunning views. Where can you step out onto your balcony, and take the salute, as a cruise ship glides into the grand harbour!.
