The Hotel Moderno is a really great tradition of hospitality, present in Siena since 1954. It 'just a few steps from Porta Sheepfold, in front of the escalator leading to Piazza San Francesco, in the old city.It has 64 rooms furnished with air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone and hair dryer (about half also have a mini bar). Wide availability of family rooms, with beds add up to 4 people.The breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant. The restaurant has 200 seats and offers traditional dishes with a fine selection of regional wines. During the summer the restaurant is also open in the garden.The hotel is easily reachable by car or bus and has ample free outdoor parking or a garage.

This hotel only has the name modern. Located on a rather noisy street where you can't sleep with the window open, the air conditioning was very noisy and didn't let you sleep either. We asked them to solve the air conditioning noise problem and they said it was a normal noise for them. Totally not recommended.
