This welcoming hotel lies between the cathedral and the Fortezza da Basso trade-centre and is just 100m from the central railway station. It offers a quiet terrace with flowers and rooms offering modern facilites. There are many restaurants and shops near by. WIFI not free.
Florence Amerigo Vespucci International Airport is only five miles from the city centre and is connected by both bus and train to Santa Maria Novella, the city?s main train station. Once in Florence, thanks to the modest size of the historical centre, you?ll rarely need public transport. Avoid taxis whenever possible in Italy. On arrival at Santa Maria Novella Station and Airport Link Terminal, simply walk up Via Nazionale and take a right onto Via Guelfa. The Hotel Basilea Florence is at number 41 and the whole journey will take less than ten minutes on foot with luggage.

Hotel sin lujos, antiguo pero limpio y perfecto para descansar después de largas caminatas por florencia. Pero si reseñar que el plato de ducha pequeñísimo. Muy bien ubicado para visitar a pie todos los monumentos más emblemáticos de la ciudad.

Buena ubicación. Buena limpieza. Desayuno suficiente. Pero puertas ruidosas.
Personal en general amable, pero una de las chicas de la tarde-noche muy borde: había gente haciendo ruido y no hizo nada por solucionarlo.
No hay información sobre seguridad en la habitación. Ni siquiera el número de contacto con recepción, que no es el 9, ni el 1, ni el 0 (habituales en otros hoteles).
