The property was clean and modern with free parking, which is a premium in turin. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was well worth the price of stay. The staff in the restaurant were so cheerful and pleasant and made us feel warmly welcomed. (accolti calorosamente)!!
The location was close to the po river which had several site seeing attractions and picturesque views. We enjoyed watching the rowing teams going up and down the river in the morning. It was a beautiful place for a stroll and photo opportunities. Also, nearby you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city at the church (chiesa) of santa maria al monte dei cappuccini. I recommend going into the church also, there is a monastery of franciscan monks who are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the church and the region.
The rooms were clean and the beds were the most comfortable of any of our stays in europe, with one firm pillow and one super soft pillow, how thoughtful! the bathrooms were pristine with plenty of counter-space for his and hers toiletries and we had a large bathtub to soak in after a long day of walking.
The hotel itself has an interesting history. It is in the converted shell of the ex-fiat factory. The industrial-chic conversion, with a nod to its 1960s heyday, was masterminded by stellar architect renzo piano. Fans of the 2003 film the italian job will recognize the rooftop test track, now a jogging path. If you ask to see the roof, they will be happy to let you go up.
There are numerous vintage photos and accents recalling the building’s history. Quirky touches include blown-up car designs on the walls. In the heart of the former industrial space is a ‘garden of wonders’ – a jungle of camellias, magnolias, olive trees and palm trees which is reached through a glass tunnel. You can also enjoy a drink in the lounge area in the garden.
In a former industrial quarter, the lingotto is 10 minutes by metro or taxi (5km) from turin’s cobbled historic centre, and 4km from the bars and restaurants of san salvario, the city’s nightlife hotspot. The ex-factory complex includes a shopping mall, concert halls and the private art collection of the agnelli fiat scions (free for hotel guests), so is arguably a destination in its own right. Over the road is the eataly food emporium and museum of the automobile.
The only thing i wish we could have had in our room was an electric kettle to heat water so i could enjoy my tea in the evening. We would have had to go downstairs and order hot tea if we wanted it.
Other than that, i would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay here on our next visit.

I really enjoyed my stay in the nh hotel in lingotto. From the lighted path in the middle of a beautiful garden, to the neat room, to the super nice and friendly staff, to the amazing breakfast buffet. The one complaint i would have would be: i only stayed 1 night !!! i totally recommend this hotel to friends and family and i would totally return as a happy customer. One of the best hotels i have ever stayed in ! :d.
