What to see or do in and around Milano

  • Monza (Milán)

    Monza the villa city

A nice city very close to Milan, a good place to stay away from the crowded city centre.

    Last minute Milan trip

The photos are a short clip of what we experienced and would definitely recommend this city as a destination to visit. Theres so much more than this four pictures but this city offered the most enjoyable time in the few days we were there and its so accessible due to the public transport system.

Milan, Italy's fashion and design capital, was every bit as glamorous and captivating as I had imagined. Here are some highlights from my visit. Navigli District: This picturesque neighbourhood, with its canals and old-world charm, became my favourite spot in Milan. The vibrant area is packed with unique boutiques, delightful restaurants, and lively bars. I'd recommend taking a leisurely boat tour on the canals and exploring the various antique shops and art galleries. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II: As a fashion enthusiast, I couldn't resist the call of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world's oldest shopping malls. It's not just a shopping destination but a symbol of Milan's rich history and cultural heritage. The intricate design and high-end boutiques are indeed a sight for sore eyes. Eating and drinking: Milan is a gastronomic paradise. Do not miss the chance to try risotto alla Milanese, a classic dish infused with saffron. For gelato lovers, a visit to CioccolatItaliani is a must. These were some of my favourite experiences, but there is so much more to explore in Milan. Its mesmerizing blend of historical sights, world-class shopping, and thriving culinary scene make it a city that never ceases to surprise and delight.

Milan is a dynamic city. The airport appeared to be clean, and it was efficiently run. I did not have any issues with the ATM that I used there. I enjoyed looking at the modern skyscrapers. I saw high-quality furniture and beautiful interior design. It was apparent why Milan is regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world. I enjoyed window shopping at Valentino, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. I was amazed to see that numerous international fashion labels also operate shops in Milan. I wandered around Milan's main upscale fashion district. I had a cappuccino for the first time in Italy there; it was phenomenal. I had lunch from Carrefour on one occasion. It was thus possible to tour the city on a shoestring budget. I was impressed that the vast majority of Italians that I met spoke English fluently, and all of them were friendly. It would be beneficial if there were more public restrooms, especially those that are free, and electronics (e.g. phone and laptop) charging stations, as is available in NYC.

Bazen ni v uporabi za goste hotela ampak ga vodijo, kot SP in ga je potrebno plaati. In to drago. To mi ni vše, ker ga reklamirajo. Mi smo ta hotel izbrali zaradi bazena in od tega ni.
