Transport Tips in the Village
The village where the hotel is located is not Como. The roads have very low speed limits and many curves, which sometimes makes it take half an hour to travel 10 km. Keep in mind that it's better to rent a car, the trips are long. In the village of the hotel, there are 3 or 4 restaurants where you can eat very well.

A must see place in North Italy. Como has a great ambience and is spoiled with options for great Italian food. I love the small town vibe and it is close to many attractions such as Milano shopping, Bellagio and many other cute towns and beautiful nature.

Visit to Como
Como. We spent a couple of days in this city, arriving from Menaggio by bus, stopping first at Villa Balbianello, which in my opinion is worth visiting. We stayed near the Como train station since the next day we were going to Milan. In Como, we visited the main square and the cathedral, strolled at sunset along the lakeside promenade where there were swans, and had pasta for dinner in one of its many restaurants. We also bought some souvenirs, in Como it is more economical than in other towns like Bellagio or Varenna.

Route around Lake Como
Route around Lake Como. We arrived at Bergamo airport and took the train to Lecco where we spent the first night. It is not usually one of the most visited towns on the lake, however, it has beautiful views of the mountains and is very well connected to Varena. It also has all kinds of services like supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants. Varena was our second stop of the trip and, unlike Lecco, this town is already much smaller and there are fewer shops and supermarkets. It is a postcard village that can be easily visited in half a day. It's a must-stop, I would say. We also visited Bellagio and Menaggio, which we reached by boat, the first being much more touristic than the second. I wouldn't know how to decide between the two. In Bellagio, we recommend the restaurant La Grotta. Taking the boat on the lake is straightforward, the ticket is purchased at the ticket offices where the schedules are also posted, but it should be noted that these can change or be canceled if there is a storm or strong winds. I also think it's important to mention the villas located on the shores of the lake, you should visit at least one, even if it's just the gardens. It is better to buy the ticket in advance. Our trip ended in Como, from where we took a train to Milan.
