Rhodes
The Greek island of Rhodes has exerted a magnetic attraction on holidaymakers for centuries, and with its constant summer sunshine and attractions, that's no wonder. The island offers plenty for families and backpackers to enjoy. First, and most importantly, the island boasts some beautiful bays and beaches. Coves like St. Paul's Bay or the sands of Tsambika Beach provide a wonderful place to catch some ways or engage in water sports like windsurfing or snorkelling. One beach trip well worth making is to the village of Lindos, where clear blue waters combine with an ancient archaeological site and lively bars for a superb day out. Rhodes also has many ancient sites to explore, along with the capital city, a vibrant modern town , with a great museum and plenty of shops.
Finding the right hotel or apartment for a vacation in Rhodes can be difficult. With so much competition, a good hotel can be swamped by mediocrity. But there are some real gems to be found. The Lindos Blu, perched on the hillsides overlooking the sea, is one marvel that offers beautiful views and great service. The Sunshine Hotel in lively Faliraki is a budget alternative with great night life and beach access. There are also lovely self-catering apartment properties around, like the Stamos Apartment homes, also in Faliraki, or the Anixis apartments in Ialyssos, both of which provide comfort in a convenient location.
Rhodes is the kind of Greek island which has everything. With a large main town, there are shops and theatres, museums and galleries. The beaches are sublime, while resorts like Faliraki are energetic. Staying in a hotel or apartment in Rhodes will allow easy access to some fascinating ancient sites, as well as the stunning, reliable sunshine of a Mediterranean summer. Don't miss highlights like Lindos, or the lovely Valley of the Butterflies at Petaloudes, and be sure to see them from the comfort and luxury of a great value hotel or apartment when you visit.

Stunning place with lots of things to do. We stayed in Rhodes town for a week and there were plenty of day trips available. Some of the beaches were absolutely beautiful with soft sand and crystal clear water.

City with charm and hospitality
City with charm and Greek hospitality. Getting lost in the less traveled streets is a delight and is complemented by the festive and touristy atmosphere of the more popular areas.

Center of Rhodes. Spending 3 days is enough to visit the old city, central beaches, and city center.

Old town and post-dinner
Old town and post-dinner. Take a day to visit the historical center of Rhodes because it's worth the time spent. In the evening, you can choose one of the many restaurants in the city by checking online reviews. For a post-dinner cocktail, I recommend the Ronda venue near the marina and on the beach. Excellent cocktails and good music with DJ set. However, dinner prices are excessive, and you need to vacate the table after an hour and a half for the evening customers. Therefore, I recommend going there just for a group evening after eating elsewhere. If you have time, take a trip to Lindos by booking one of the buses that go back and forth during the day online or through local agencies. The Acropolis is wonderful, and in four hours you can also visit the small town.
