Good location, in front of the old castle. The reception table is small though, did not find it at beginning. The only drawback is that only suite room has bathtub, but the stairs are too narrow and steep, not very good for baby/young child. The receptionist kindly offered us a plastic baby bathtub instead, works well.

The hotel is centrally located, close to the old city and its cafés and restaurants. Opposite the hotel is a small tree-lined park with market stalls selling antiques and local art. There are also some restaurants which all score highly on reviews. As for the hotel, it is clean with comfortable beds, secure access and offers an excellent breakfast. The hotel's most important asset is its staff. On my arrival, i was helped by a young man with excellent english who provided very helpful information on the area. The following day, another young man was at the desk, also very friendly and most helpful too. We discussed playing rugby as teenagers; a really nice guy! the dining room had two lovely staff members, cheerful and very friendly. Unfortunately, my knowledge of french is poor, but we managed to get along well. The younger lady assisted me frying my eggs, she had a wonderful personality. I hope the management realizes what fantastic staff they have. I highly recommend this hotel.

Our experience was horrible, after a few hours of travel to reach the hotel, which was our last destination, we got there and the reception was closed. We called a phone number listed there at the hotel and they only spoke french, there was no way to understand each other. A guest who spoke some spanish and french, of course, helped us, and our reservation could not be found. We waited 1 hour. In the end, they solved the problem at reserving, they moved us to another higher quality and better hotel. Thanks.
