Great location in Marina area
Great location in the very popular Marina area, 5-minute walk to JBR beach and 10 min walk to the nearest tram, 15 min to the nearest metro. You also have access to another sister hotel Le Royal Meridien Beach resort (shuttle bus from GH every 10 mins), directly on the beach and not far from The Walk. Taxis are always outside the hotel and are reasonable for trips to downtown or even Abu Dhabi (220 AED one way, takes 1 hour).

First visit to Dubai
I recently visited Dubai for the first time, and while there were aspects I appreciated, there were also several things that left me feeling a bit disconnected. The highways were overwhelming—traffic was heavy, and the layout didn’t encourage walking or exploring on foot, which made it hard to get a true sense of the city. The towering high-rise buildings, while impressive in design, made the city feel impersonal and sterile at times. Another downside was the constant noise and sometimes overpowering smells in certain areas. Between the traffic, construction, and crowded spaces, it all became a bit exhausting, both physically and mentally. What stood out the most, however, was the noticeable social divide, especially when it comes to immigrants. There seemed to be a clear distinction between the locals and those working in service industries, creating a barrier in terms of social interactions and overall inclusivity. It’s definitely a place of contrasts, and while it has its modern attractions, it didn't quite feel as welcoming or relaxing as I’d hoped.

Immense city
Immense city. You need to take at least 10 days to see the infinity of attractions and enjoy the sea. Very clean and tidy city.

Beautiful city to live
Beautiful city, to live. The mix between east and west is perfect and intriguing. We have been there several times and we will return.
