Philadelphia

Although hotels in Philadelphia can be searched for after a flight has landed at Philadelphia International Airport, it's recommended that a hotel is found beforehand. In all, there are plenty to choose from. Hampton Inn is a popular hotel chain and it has a base in Philadelphia. Within walking distance of Reading Terminal Market, this hotel is also near the PA Convention Centre. Le Meridien, which has more than two hundred rooms, is in a ten storey building and its Georgian architecture is very memorable. If a hotel isn't required but an apartment instead, there are many places to choose from. Pisces is a quirky apartment because this houseboat has splendid views of the city. This apartment has many bedrooms and, as a result, it can be chosen by a family who have several young children. If an apartment on dry land is required, choose a penthouse suite in the centre of Philadelphia. With fantastic views of the Philadelphia skyline, a penthouse apartment is a very romantic place and can be the perfect setting for a quiet city break.

Outside of Philadelphia's hotels, there's a huge city to explore. Philadelphia is a large city in Pennsylvania and the American Declaration of Independence was signed there in 1776. Unsurprisingly, Philadelphia has many sites which are rich in history. The Independence National Historic Park is a remarkable place. Located in Philadelphia's Old City, the Independence National Historic Park is home to the Liberty Bell which was struck after the American Declaration of Independence was signed. The author Edgar Allan Poe had a home in Philadelphia and it has been preserved where it is open to visitors. Philadelphia has a considerable number of museums, such as the Wagner Free Institute of Science which has more than 100,000 specimens from the natural world on display. Philadelphia has just as many parks. The tranquil FDR Park is home to many water sports, such as fishing, and Pennypack Park is equally popular where it hosts an annual music festival. Pennypack Park looks breathtaking because it has many waterfalls and creeks.
