Location
Mayaland Hotel y Bungalows is located in the heart of the archaeological park of Chichen Itzá, with its own entrance to the Mayan temples. The great Mayan city of Itza is a place of greatness, magic and mysticism. Impressive constructions like the observatory, the temple of the nuns, the church, the great pyramid, the temple of the 1000 columns and the Akab Dzib among others can be observed. It?s 2 km from the city of Piste. By car: From Manuel Crescencio airport of the City of Merida, take the Peripheral ring and take the exit to highway 19 in Kanasin direction until joining with Federal highway 180. Carry on straight towards Piste. Once in Piste, cross the city and follow the Chichen-Itza indicators.

The rooms and suites have spectacular gardens in the front and the observatory of Chichén Itzá towards the west. Bungalows, constructed in traditional Mayan style were designed for guests who wish to be in communion with nature and with a culture that reached its climax centuries ago. The rooms have air conditioning, are decorated with beautiful furniture and the bathrooms have works in ceramics, marble and stone. The bungalows are built in a traditional Mayan style with wood, stone and straw, and in a variety of shapes regarding size, beds and location around the gardens. It also offers the Suit Maya with Jacuzzi and spectacular amenities.

It seems to have been a magnificent hotel once upon a time, but has been under-maintained for at least several years. Many buildings look abandoned. You may only find a few other guests staying while you are there. Also, the private entrance to chichen itza, the greatest perk of staying here, has been closed for years by now.
