Agadir
Agadir is a thriving modern city on the south west coast of Morocco. While the city remains a major port with a flourishing fishing trade, it is primarily known as a tourist resort with outstanding clean beaches, challenging golf courses and a range of facilities for visitors. Hotels and apartments in Agadir are conveniently located near the many tourist sites and within walking distance of the many beautiful sandy beaches. There is accommodation in Agadir to suit all budgets whether you're looking for a luxurious hotel with an outdoor pool and sauna, or a spacious apartment with commanding views of the bay. Many hotels serve traditional Moroccan gourmet food that uses local fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and local pastries. An apartment or a hotel in Agadir is the perfect base to explore the old city and discover the ancient Berber culture. The Berber community are proud of their rich history and are very welcoming to visitors.
Although Agadir was considered to be a glamorous tourist resort in the seventies, the hotels and apartments in Agadir of that era now look dated, but retain the charms that attracted tourists in the first place. With its ideally placed location on the Atlantic coast, Agadir provides a wide selection of water sports on its secluded beaches. Taghazout Beach is one of Agadir's most famous beaches; more than 6 miles long, the beach is one of the country's best surf spots. Surfing is particularly popular with tourists, and there are a number of specialised surf schools and surf shops to discover. With over 3000 stalls the Souk El Had is a must see for visitors to Agadir. This charming souk has everything from tacky souvenirs to luxury leather goods and household items. Although most items have advertised prices, make sure to haggle with the local vendors to get a bargain. One of the most popular tourist activities in the region is camel riding into the nearby desert. Adventurous visitors can hop aboard a camel and ride along 5 miles of spectacular coastline, taking in the Atlantic sea views, and watching the sunset over the golden sands.

Tourist city with beach and nightlife
Interesting destination, very touristy, beach similar to our beaches in Portugal, calm waters at a good temperature. I liked the fact that at night there were many people walking along the promenade and a lot of movement mainly on the opposite side of the Marina due to the large hotels. In summary, the beach is good, many dining options with many restaurants, night bars, and the largest souk in Morocco which I really enjoyed visiting. It is a lively and cheerful city. I liked it.

Necessary taxi for visits
Nice. It’s necessary to ask for a taxi to visit sites. It’s not too far, 20 kms for example.
