Anónimo,
The best thing i can say about this accommodation is that 'i got what i paid for.' on arrival, the wet room in my accommodation had a light switch that was not operating, and when it did, this was through a 30 cm flex that hung from the ceiling, which was of a similar length to the flex holding the light bulb hanging a similar distance away. The light switch was covered in tape, presumably against one receiving an electrical shock (health and safety?), so i immediately asked to change rooms before unpacking, which the hotel arranged. The next room offered to me was unacceptable (items were either missing or not working), whereas the second was, but only after a few alterations were undertaken {like putting in missing light bulbs}. Everything went well for a few days, but, at 12:15 am one morning, i was awoken by the sound of a disco immediately beneath my rooms, leaving me to go to the reception and ask why i was not informed this would be taking place, and when it was to end. For which i was told this would go on until 2 am, which left me, for a second time, to change rooms to somewhere away from this noise. All of which took place between 1-2 am. During this 1-2 am period, the first apartment i was offered was, again, unsuitable, as too many electrical features were not working and only after staff agreed to fix a light in the bathroom in the second offering (where a live flex was exposed) did i accept this, based on the understanding it would be repaired the next day. However, this was not the case, which left me remonstrating, once again, with hotel staff. Towards the end of my two-week stay, i returned one evening to find my front door was unlocked, as the lock was broken. On reporting this to reception, the member of staff on duty sent a maintenance person to fix it, only he couldn't. Leaving reception to say this would be completed tomorrow, or that i could change rooms again! at which point i suggested the maintenance person take a lock from an unused apartment and swap this over with mine (rather than me moving, or staying and leaving my apartment unlocked, which any travel insurance company would have blanched at). Something the receptionist failed to see, although a more senior staff member who happened to pass by did, and who, subsequently, arranged for the maintenance person to do just this. The pool, which few guests went in, came with a health warning, namely not to swallow the water! my first purchase at the bar left me short-changed, which i had to point out to the barman. Was this an oversight? i'll let you decide. The food was passable, but often re-heated when it was 'leftovers' from earlier mealtimes, which made it susceptible to contamination and one getting a stomach upset, which i did on my last day. If i were managing this hotel, which, thank goodness, i am not, i would give a number of staff a good shake-up. The approach of several was lax at best, with much of the place being run down and, clearly, past its sell-by date. There is more i could say, but i think this is sufficient. I did not pay a lot to stay here but, even so, i expected more.

Anónimo,
The stay was very good, the staff very friendly, the food had little variety but was good, overall everything was fine, for the price i can't complain, i would recommend it.

Amar sina is almost my second home. Friendly and helpful staff. I feel very safe as a 60-year-old solo woman. The architecture is amazing and you discover little new things every time you are there. If you want an egyptian experience and not a smart fine hotel then amar sina is a good choice. The food is pretty boring but i have never gotten sick nor from the raw vegetables. Can highly recommend a visit to fashia café. And the fish restaurant fishmart in the old city, deliciously cheap and friendly waiters. If you are into snorkeling then fanar beach is some of the best, 3. 5 km from the hotel a good little walk if you do not want to ride in the car the hotel provides morning and afternoon (i painted amar sina little beach shop).

Hotel without conditions, should be closed. It has no conditions to be open. I have never experienced what happened to me in this hotel.
