The hotel is ok but its quite old and needs doing up. The rooms had broken light fittings which were falling off the wall and the outside area had broken sunbeds. Reception staff werent so friendly or polite. On a more positive note the buffets were good, the water park was excellent and so was the evening entertainment.

The hotel was great, the staff were all friendly and welcoming. There were a few niggles, when we arrived we were given our room key but weren't told where the room was, after exploring the hotel and finding our way back to reception we were then told our rooms were in a different part of the hotel - something we would have never worked out ourselves, so probably an oversight at the time of check in, but the hotel is huge! car parking at the hotel is very limited, and we were unable to park at the hotel so had to find our own parking, which was a bit of a challenge. Other than those two issues when we arrived, everything was great, very clean, great food, brilliant service from the staff, lots of entertainment and things to do on site, great for kids with their own pool and water slides.

Large hotel with plenty of outdoor space. We spent most of the time on the loungers in the pool area, as it was so hot during our stay. All meals were served as a buffet and as there was plenty of choice it meant there was always something we liked. It was appreciated that staff spoke english and went out of their way for any help we needed. Great value.

We stayed at the jaime i hotel in salou, as we were attending an event in a nearby town and accommodation there was a lot more expensive. It's a no frills hotel, which is probably due an update, but if you're on a budget, it could be a good option. There's an outdoor pool area with sunbeds, but it was too cold to use them at this time of year. We did use the little spa, though, which was a pleasant bonus to the hotel. We also took the opportunity to spend a few nights here and used the hotel as a base to explore the area and nearby cities. The region and city of tarragona are both beautiful, as is barcelona. It was easy enough to reach them using trains and buses. Could be a hotel to go for a cheap summer holiday or to travel around the region.
