What to see or do in and around Portimão

Festival & caves
We stayed in Portimão with regard to the Afronation festival, which is a festival that lasts for about 3 days. It was located on a beach 30 mins walking from the Villa Rio Suites. We also went on a boat tour from Portimão to explore the Benagil Caves. The tour guides on the boat had a lot of interesting stories about each cave and had a lot of recommendations in regard to restaurants and tourist attractions.

Nice place for a break
We have been living here for a while, so the place is just fine. Beach is beautiful, during winter not much is open but enough. Funky Café is next door to Mirachoro II and it's a nice place. Overall, Portimao is beautiful

Nice surroundings but very touristic town
When staying in Rocha Brava the best thing to do is just walk out of the park to the coast, but if you want you can go a bit further and see some touristy towns nearby. There are many restaurants and activities to book from here.
