What to see or do in and around Coimbra
Gordon,
Coimbra (Coimbra)
We stayed in Coimbra for a few days and found it to be a beautiful city with plenty of restaurants and café bars. The food was very good and priced well. Make sure you take a good pair of walking shoes/ boots with you, as it's hard on the feet walking around the city because of the small marble cobblestones everywhere. The city is a university city, so it's a must for you to go to the university area and see the students dressed in their university gowns etc and performing what appears to be cultural customs. Highly amusing! Overall, we enjoyed Coimbra and will visit again.
Alexander,
Lousa (Coimbra)
Nice small city
Nice little town, centre well maintained and clean. There is a problem with restaurants as there are few places to eat.
