What to see or do in and around North Holland
Valerie,
Amsterdam (Holanda Septentrional)
We were away for birthday celebrations. The city was clean and people were very helpful.
Blue river cruise were very good , we had an evening cruise and it was really relaxing and informative . The light festival was on and being Xmas it was delightful

Dream come true
My dream was to visit Amsterdam. It's a hot country even if is on winter months. The atmosphere is amazing. I never ear fries woth spicy ketchup but there I try, it's look is traditional. I buy for myself cheese (they have so many tasty recipes) and I find I shop with delicious biscuits worh for the money! So many restaurants delicious food, wines. I'm planning fo be there for Xmas and have another journey

Amsterdam
City is great, plenty of fantastic restaurants and of course the reason a lot of people come, coffeeshops. Highly recommend heading to de pijp for the market and Katsu coffeeshop. Great vibes and a lovely part of the city to hang out in.

Great place to visit with friends, not so great to visit with your family
The city is great if you're hanging out with friends. Great nightlife, food and hangouts. When you visit with your family it is not that great to see the city very dirty, smell the weed everywhere and see all the souvenir shops selling weed realted merchandise and dirty trinkets (wiener shaped bottle openers etc.) I guess if you set your expectations right you'll love the city, otherwise for a family vacation I'd rather go somewhere else

Amazing Amsterdam, brilliant hotel
From amazing sites, the culture and just breathtaking city life. Easy to get too, with bikes available at the hotel, with bud, train and ferry services. With all the hustle bustle you have to try the food, accompanied with the views of the city.I Recommend a canal tour of the city as you get to soak in all the culture and learn about the history of the city. Also recommend the museums as they have a lot of interesting stuff which will Amaze you to learn. Amsterdam would not be Amsterdam without the cafe and the working girls in the window, you will not miss them as they are on every corner and every ally, although not for us its available for those adventurous travellers.

Amsterdam (Holanda Septentrional)
Cultural experience
In 2 days, we did 4 activities, 3 of which were cultural. It was great to experience such a vast variety of culture while also experiencing the Dutch lifestyle. Easy city to get around in. Many things to do in a beautiful city.

One of the must-see cities of northern Europe
We love Amsterdam for its historical and cultural significance: its canal network; its museums and galleries (Eg the Van Gogh museum, the Rijksmuseum, and lesser known venues such as Foam specialising in photography and in the centre), the Nieuwe Kerk which is of interest in itself and hosts a range of world-class exhibitions including the annual World Press Photography exhibition. Should you tire of the shops, bars, cafés and entertainment in the Amsterdam, it's only a short hop to other cities such as Delft, The Hague, Leiden, and Rotterdam.

Beautiful
Really nice to visit the canals and the area red light district and all around it. Boat tour is a must for first time visitors and i recommend Argentinos for eating dinner they have great food.

Great for a city break
Having not been to Amsterdam before I was impressed by how close everything was in the city. Trams and Metro are excellent but you can actually walk to most places easily. We visited the Heineken factory tour, Anne Frank museum, boat tour as well as the Carre theatre and red light district. We also just wandered around the city canals which have some fantastic views. Really busy but enjoyable couple of days and we are looking forward to coming back again in the future.
